Printing Industry Essentials Training Graduates Three, for its Inagural First Class

The inagural Printing Industry Essentials celebrated training completion on November 19th, at Avivo’s Training Facility in Minneapolis, this training is paid for by a Minneapolis Pathways Grant and was awarded to Printing Industry Midwest’s (PIM) community partners Avivo & Goodwill/EasterSeals.  This grant assists Minneapolis Residences in finding paths leading to the print industry.

As a part of this grant, Minnesota PIM Members are addressing the candidates and telling them how great it is in the Print Industry and that this opportunity can lead to a lifetime career.

Five tours were planned for this first group of trainees, they were able to see the inner workings of the printing industry and received some great information from leaders in Print.

Trainees will transition and start working with their Program Navigator from Goodwill/EasterSeals Emmanuel Muhozi – who will assist in their job search.  For anyone intested in interviewing the graduates – contact Emmanuel.

Tours were provided by GLS Companies, LSC Communications, Japs Olson, Smyth & SeaChange

The next session will start in late Jaunary 2020.

For more information on what PIM is doing to assist in workforce solutions for the print industry, take a look at our website or email Kris Davis.  The class has upcoming tours at Japs-Olson, Smyth Companies,  & SeaChange Print Innovations.
